The Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards were created 2012 by David McCandless, journalist and datavisualizer,  in collaboration with Aziz Kami, Creative Director, Kantar.  Besides producing many provocative data visualizations for UK’s The Guardian,  David McCandless has authored two books on the subject, Visual Miscellaneum: The Bestselling Classic, Revised and Updated: A Colorful Guide to the World’s Most Consequential Trivia and Information is Beautiful.

In 2012, 26 prizes across 6 categories were awarded and 8 special awards were given from entries that came from more than 20 countries.

The public is invited to vote on your favorites  – one in each category. Here are the links to view them and vote: datavizinfographicinteractivemotion infographic & tool.

Every single click counts. All the virtual visitor votes will be amalgamated and added to the votes of the real-life “meat” judges to select the winners, which will be announced on November 20th.
