Remote meetings are done best with a combination of Zoom or WebEx or Teams for the personal interaction -AND- Mural, Miro, Bluescape and/or Google Docs for the interactive workspace. But wouldn’t it be even better if we could feel like we’re really free to be in the same room, and able to interact with ease on whiteboards or other objects in 3D at the same time?

Successful virtual facilitation requires that we overcome the gaps in communication and missing connection we would normally have when we’re all together in the room. Using Virtual Reality platforms designed for people to meet and interact spontaneously together can help close those gaps.

This meetup will be an opportunity to explore, investigate and play in one Virtual Reality environment designed specifically for meetings: Vive Sync.

You are invited to participate in this first exploration dedicated for meeting leaders/visual facilitators to experiment and experience virtual facilitation in VR.

The meetup will be led by Dean Meyers of VizWorld, who invites you to “Be Brave and Iterate” by practicing facilitation in VR as the next step in virtual facilitation.

Technical Requirements (as of Sept. 10, 2020 – may be altered by the time of the meetup):
Access to the Vive Sync WebVR Beta in your browser; OR
Vive Sync App (Android and iOS); OR
All Vive branded VR headsets, including the VIVE, VIVE Pro, VIVE Pro Eye, and VIVE Cosmos on PC, and the VIVE Focus and VIVE Focus Plus.
For all non-stand alone headsets you will need aPC running Windows 10 preferred, with 2 or more core CPU and GPU to run Steam VR.

Please make sure to install all equipment and software required to run the Vive Sync platform for your headset, computer or mobile phone well in advance: we are not able to offer full technical support during the meeting on your equipment.

This meetup will be limited to 24 participants. Please consider signing up early. If you have technical or other questions, please contact the meetup leader, Dean Meyers, in advance.

This event is not sponsored by HTC Valve or Vive Sync, although representatives of either may be present.

The direct link to the meeting will be sent directly once you have signed up.
