Strata Instudio VR for the VIVE

Strata inStudio VR for the VIVE allows you to view 3D models in VR

Strata’s 3D modeling and animation programs are known for the speedy creation of models, particularly on the Mac, and at a lower price point than many competitors.

They have jumped into the VR world by offering the stand alone Strata inStudio VR package, intended to give 3d model designers the ability to port models into Virtual Reality. The program has just been released in a Standard Edition for free for an undisclosed limited time. It functions as a stand-alone package with easy integration with other Strata 3d Design products and can accept models from other 3D programs, once converted to the Collada file format.

Currently, the program only works with the HTC Vive VR to view models, although it will render stereoscopoic 360 views for smartphones using Google Cardboard, Daydream, or Samsung’s Gear VR.
