Now Unity developers can use the SDK to embed real-time voice and video communication into VR/AR apps and games. The full infrastructure is managed through Voximplant, in their cloud-based solution.

Features include:

users can talk with each other in real time without leaving the app and creating a conference in external programs. Players can easily share new experiences with each other.
Full immersion in the virtual world where users can share emotions with friends and family in real time via video chats. Integrate video communication into your VR or mobile/web game to enrich user experience.
Voximplant is capable of supporting communication of thousands (or millions) of users.
Tested and working with Unity 5.5
