Recently we covered where ESPN has announced that is will be starting a 3-D channel. Now, CBS has announced that they will be showing the Final Four of NCAA men’s college basketball tournament. However, instead of showing this over-the-air, CBS will be broadcasting this to over 100 theaters nationwide. This will be CBS’ first attempt at 3-D programming. As such, it is really an experiment more than a commitment to 3-D. The broadcast will be distributed to movie theaters by Cinedigm Digital Cinema
