NVidia just issued a press release announcing the immediate availability of “Tesla GPU Preconfigured Clusters”. It’s a complete ready-to-power-up, off-the-shelf solution for Tesla clusters. Configurations begin at 16Teraflops of performance from four Tesla S1070’s (each containing 4 Tesla 10-series GPU’s), and include host servers, infiniband switches and cabling.
Tesla GPU Preconfigured Clusters provide up to 30 times the performance of CPU-only solutions, enabling IT managers to deploy smaller, more computationally dense systems. These consume substantially less power — which creates substantially lower costs — while still meeting the increasing demands of such applications as computational fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, seismic processing and financial computing.
No word on pricing, but the preferred partners list includes every major (and many minor) HPC and cluster provider I know of.
