nytimesolympicsrankAmanda Cox, Graphics Editor for the New York Times, gave a talk at Swarthmore College’s Math department about some of their fantastic information visualization work.

Cox noted that the the Times’ graphics staff “often tries to layer more information or add in an extra layer of what’s going on in the story [by] pulling something forward while pushing another back.” incorporate geography, different dimensions.
