PCGames Hardware (German) has an interview with Sascha Marenkowic of AMD, during which they mention the upcoming release of a Radeon HD 4890 X2.
The current HD4890 pushes the limits of powerdraw, so an X2 would require two 8-pin connectors, and if the 4870X2 is any indication, it will be over $600. This begs the question of what would be the better purchase: a 4890X2? or two 4890’s in Crossfire?
Interview after the break (it starts in Dutch, but quickly transitions into english).
