Dean Meyers, Publisher/Managing Editor of VizWorld™

Publisher and Managing Editor of VizWorld™ Dean Meyers uses graphic methods to help clients build successful strategies, inspire innovation and make meetings more memorable and productive. Dean blends creativity, experience and expertise across multiple disciplines (technology, marketing, design, art, performance and strategic planning) to listen with his eyes and visually synthesize both content and context as it is happens. He is happiest when working visually on projects involving innovation, user experience, education, and VR and AR—even more when they are all combined in one! Dean has worked across many fields and businesses, from educational institutions, non-profits and government agencies to tech companies from startups to the giants, and some of the world’s largest enterprises in media, pharmaceuticals and and manufacturing. His engagements vary, from running strategic scenario planning sessions to creating and delivering training programs and VR environments for people to learn and acquire new skills.

Dean has taught visual problem-solving skills at SXSW, graphically recorded and facilitated many innovation conferences and workshops internationally, from Picnic in Amsterdam and 140 Conf in London to US conferences including the Business Innovation Factory’s annual event, TEDMED, Lean UX NYC, and the World Innovation Forum on stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. He was a founding and operational organizer of VizThink NYC from 2009 to 2012, and former board member of the International Forum of Visual Practitioners. He was the Continent Manager for the Interaction Design Foundation, and on the faculty of the American Management Association teaching Design Thinking for business professionals. He has designed and developed incubators and been engaged in bringing out intrapreneurship and Horizon 3 innovation in enterprise, government and educational institutions.
